Racing at the British GP this weekend!

Qualifying last weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Austria was really unlucky. Early in the qualifying session, another car went off the circuit and dragged stones onto the racing line. I was on my first flying lap and a large stone punched a hole in my radiator, ending my qualifying session before it started. This put me P26 on the grid for the race.

On the first lap of the race I had to virtually stop as a car was spinning in front of me, so I think I was about 32nd at that point. However, I raced hard and managed to get through to 15th at the checkered flag. I was happy that the car felt good and I was able to make progress with no damage!

With back to back races we immediately go on to race at Silverstone this weekend. The British Grand Prix is a very special event for all British drivers, and the knowledgeable British motorsport fans are legendary! I’m really proud as a British Racing Drivers’ Club member to race at the British Grand Prix and see the packed grandstands and Union flags flying everywhere. It’s an amazing feeling.

I hope we can put on a great show at Silverstone. We had a really good test there in June and I’m feeling confident. Last year I qualified P3 so I will be pushing very hard to get a good qualifying position again this year.

The newly re-surfaced circuit will see new lap records in all classes and with the weather forecast looking perfect, I hope that all the fans have a fantastic weekend of exciting motor racing!

I’m really looking forward to seeing guests from my awesome sponsor partners; 9 Group / eve, LA Micro, Calteq and Penguin London. Special thanks to my hotel sponsor partner, Whittlebury Hall for their hospitality this weekend. It’s a great place to stay and relax so close to Silverstone.
