After racing in Porsche Carrera Cup GB in 2014 and 2015 and winning the championship, Josh only raced a Porsche at one race in 2016, as a guest driver in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the British Grand Prix, with German team Project 1 where he finished as top British driver in 4th place.

The focus was to get into Porsche Supercup in 2017, and having secured a drive with highly respected Swiss team Fach Auto Tech, Josh is looking forward to an exciting season ahead.

Let’s hear from Josh…

Pretty early on it was obvious that I was never going to be a football, rugby or hockey player. Both my sisters were really good at sport so I enthusiastically tried everything but I was pretty hopeless to be honest! Then my sister and I tried karting at Buckmore Park when I was 12 and that was the start of a complete change to our life as a family.

From the first novice kart race in September 2006 to winning the Junior European championship three years later in September 2009 I then moved on to four years in single-seater formula cars.

After winning the two-year Porsche Carrera Cup GB (PCCB) Scholarship I raced in PCCGB for two years, winning the championship in my first year with Redline Racing.

Last year I competed in some different cars. Firstly in a Lamborghini Huracan at Sebring and the Renault RS01 in a couple of rounds of the Renault Sport Trophy as well as racing in the RS01’s debut in GT3 spec at Spa Francorchamps in the International GT Open, where Nicky Pastorelli and I won.

I have since raced in the Gulf 12 hours and Dubai 24 hours for GP Extreme in the Renault RS01. It’s very different driving in endurance racing rather than short sprint races, but I loved every minute!

I’m very keen to get the Porsche Supercup season underway and can’t wait to start working with my new team.
